This year, the Metaproject partnership is with Poppin, the New York based one-stop-shop for everything you need to work happy. Poppin is rethinking every type of office product into a new colorful workstyle and recently introduced an increasingly successful range of furniture. The students are challenged to create innovative accessories for this new line that accent, improve, or add to their use. The design solutions are to appeal to Poppin's target market, being value conscious and aesthetically minded; feasible for mass production; simple and functional.
Winning design concepts will be chosen on April 05, 2016, and displayed to the public at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) during New York Design Week in May.
In collaboration with the Industrial Design students from Metaproject 06, undergraduate juniors from the New Media Design program designed unique interactive web-based solutions to explore each ID student’s creative process and product solution.
